George Bush and Global Warming

George Bush, back in 2000, told us he had a plan to stop global warming. Have Americans seen him do anything about it? No. Back in 2005, the world decided to fight global warming. It was called the Kyoto Protocol. It was signed by 141 nations, except the United States and Australia. Why didn't George Bush sign the Kyoto Protocol? George Bush thought that it would be too costly. He also described it as "an unrealistic and ever-tightening straitjacket." George Bush is making our country look like it is being run by dogs because of all the problems we are having. We definitely should have voted for Al Gore because he is the one spreading the word about global climate change. We as Americans could have seen a huge difference in our environment had Al Gore been elected as president. Lucky for us, George does not have much time left in the White House. Hopefully, we can get a Democratic president in 2009, so we can see the change in our world that has been promised to us.
