The never ending war

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." —Washington, D.C., Sept. 13, 2001.

George Bush believes that we have to find Osama bin Laden in order for Iraq to give up. According to Bush, this is one of the things we have to do in order to win the war. Bush says, "We will not rest until we find him." We have been looking for Osama bin Laden for about 5-6 years, and in doing so, we have been killing innocent civilians as American fighter jets invade populated areas. Five years, and no trace of Osama bin Laden has been found. Maybe we should stop killing innocent civilians and start looking for bin Laden in less populated areas. George Bush has made all of the Middle East hate us even more because of this war that should have never even happened.

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." —Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002.

How ironic. In the quote from 2001, George Bush says, "We will not rest until we find him." One year later, he says "I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care." Why would George Bush say he cares, and then say he doesn't care? Does he feel that Osama is not a threat anymore? Or, has he just given up? I believe that George Bush has had enough, he knows he has screwed up our country, and since he has created so many problems, and has so much stress, he can't focus on bin Laden anymore. George, watch out for Osama.
